Lobo & Lira is the result of the restructuring of Lobo & Ibeas, a law firm established in 1974 which, over the decades, built a strong reputation in several different areas of business law. Carlos Augusto da Silveira Lobo, a founding partner of Lobo & Ibeas, and José-Ricardo Pereira Lira, a member of the Firm for over 30 years and its managing partner in the last decade, reorganized their activities and kicked off the practice in the new firm in April 2018, under the name Lobo & Lira Advogados.

The legal and professional culture forged throughout Lobo & Ibeas’ 43 years of existence is well imprinted in the genesis of Lobo & Lira, as the Firm keeps partners Sérgio Vieira, Frederico Kastrup de Faro, Joana Ribeiro, Paulo Chor, Juliana Zielinsky and Alessandro Torresi.

Also formed by other experienced lawyers and with offices in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Lobo & Lira follows the standards and values inherited from Lobo & Ibeas.

Lobo & Lira remains dedicated to business law, with special focus on administrative law, arbitration, business contracts, corporate law, environmental law, labor law, real estate, private pension funds, shopping centers, strategic litigation and tax law. The environmental law practice is still coordinated by Flavio Ahmed, while the tax law practice is now headed by Maria Luiza Faveret.

Lobo & Lira’s lawyers have vast experience in their respective practice areas, but the range of their activities go well beyond: the Firm believes that frequent contact with different fields of the law provides their professionals with the versatility and flexibility they need in order to best advise and represent their clients. Lobo & Lira’s primary office remains at Av. Rio Branco 125, 21st floor, in Rio de Janeiro. In São Paulo, the office is at Rua Haddock Lobo 684, 8th floor.
